Plateaued Injury Support

Recovery following an injury does not always progress as expected. Pain, restricted movement or reduced function can remain even after the initial stage of recovery has passed, leaving progress slowed or plateaued.

Boon Elite provides remote support specifically where injury recovery has stalled or reached a plateau, including cases where attempts to regain movement or function are no longer producing the expected progression.

The documented case studies below show how this support has been used across different stages of plateaued injury recovery, from persistent movement restriction to post-fracture limitation and a long-standing joint problem.

Plateaued Shoulder Recovery

A recent documented case involved shoulder mobility that had remained restricted for approximately two months.

From approximately 60% to more than 95% in 24 hours.

The client, a massage therapist, had been struggling with restricted shoulder movement for around two months. Massage and ibuprofen had provided only temporary relief.

Context

Immediately before the remote session, the client recorded a video demonstrating the restriction and estimated movement at approximately 60%.

Remote Support

I then carried out one remote session using imagery, as described in the Boon Elite Process.

During the session, my notes included:

“Cooling the area down.”

“Where it was clunky and restricted.”

“Everything has opened up.”

The client later reported:

“I felt heat while Boon Elite was working on me yesterday.”

24-Hour Follow-Up

Approximately 24 hours later, a second video was recorded.

The client demonstrates the change in movement and estimates it at more than 95%.

Both videos are included below unedited and shared with the client's consent.

Her words. Her movement. Before and 24 hours after.

Documented Progression

Post-Fracture Shoulder Recovery

A documented case involved persistent restriction in shoulder movement following a fracture and period of immobilisation in a sling.

Although the fracture had healed, full shoulder movement had not returned.

Context

Following immobilisation, the client was actively working to regain shoulder movement.

Movement remained restricted and attempts to progress the shoulder were causing discomfort, limiting the return to normal movement.

The client was planning to swim later that day, providing a real-world test of shoulder movement following the session.

Remote Support

I carried out one remote session focused on the shoulder.

The work involved no physical manipulation, forced movement or additional loading.

During the shoulder work, my contemporaneous notes included:

“Clearing through from the front of the chest.”

“Rebalancing.”

“Noticing a twist top of shoulder.”

“Less resistance.”

Shortly after the session, the client confirmed that she would be swimming later and would report back on her arm.

Functional Outcome

The following morning, the client reported what had happened during the previous afternoon's swim:

“Great news! Yesterday afternoon I was able to swim front crawl so my right arm cleared the water!! So happy!!”

The functional change was therefore experienced later the same day as the remote session.

Documented Progression

Post-fracture shoulder restriction following immobilisation → one remote session → planned functional test later that day → able to swim front crawl with the affected arm clearing the water.

The fracture had healed. Full shoulder movement had not returned. Following one remote session, the client was able to complete front crawl with the affected arm clearing the water later that same day.

Long-Standing Knee Recovery

A documented case involved a long-standing football-related knee problem that had progressed beyond intermittent discomfort and was affecting everyday movement.

The client, a Chinese medicine practitioner with more than 20 years' clinical experience in acupuncture, received four remote Boon Elite sessions focused on the knee.

Context

The knee had been problematic for an extended period and had reached a stage where recovery remained difficult.

During the period of support, the client reported numbness through the muscles running into the outside of the knee and tightness on the inside.

The possibility of further deterioration and future surgical intervention, including joint replacement, was a concern at the outset.

Remote Support

Four remote sessions were carried out over the course of the case.

Although the knee was the presenting area, my contemporaneous notes repeatedly extended beyond the joint itself.

Across separate sessions, the same broader pattern appeared through the upper leg and into the hip, groin and pelvic region.

This was recorded as part of the Boon Elite process rather than as a medical diagnosis or identified cause of the knee problem.

Progression

Changes were reported progressively rather than as a single immediate outcome.

Following one of the later sessions, the client's next-day feedback was simply:

“Knee feels easier.”

Over the following period, the client reported noticeably reduced knee clicking alongside improved walking quality and greater comfort during normal day-to-day movement.

Outcome

After a total of four remote support sessions, the client reported that he no longer felt he needed further support for the knee.

This followed the reported reduction in clicking and improvements in walking and everyday movement comfort.

Documented Progression

Long-standing knee problem with numbness, tightness and concern about future surgical intervention → four remote support sessions → knee reported as feeling easier → noticeably reduced clicking → improved walking quality and everyday movement comfort → no further knee support requested.

Four remote sessions. Progressive functional improvement. Further support for the knee was no longer felt necessary by the client.

Working Alongside Existing Care

Boon Elite does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatment or replace medical or rehabilitation professionals.

Where medical or rehabilitation care is required, it should continue.

Boon Elite provides an additional layer of support designed to complement that existing provision.

Selected cases are published with client permission, with identifying information removed where appropriate.
