Context

A shoulder fracture sustained during sporting activity and managed under specialist orthopaedic supervision without surgical intervention.

Priority Access

Boon Elite 0–48hr Priority Access Support was activated following hospital assessment, within approximately two hours on New Year's Eve.

Support was provided alongside standard orthopaedic care.

Standard Recovery Context

Adult proximal humerus fractures commonly require approximately 8–12 weeks for radiographic healing.

At the scheduled medical review, five weeks after injury, radiographic imaging confirmed that the fracture had already completely healed.

The exact point at which complete healing occurred is unknown and may have been earlier.

The individual additionally demonstrated strong functional return, excellent muscle strength and ongoing progression towards normal movement.

Acute Distress Following Bereavement

The client was visibly distressed and unable to stop crying. Her wish was to regain enough composure to continue with the professional commitments she already had scheduled that day.

Context

The client later described herself at this point as “emotionally destabilised”, overwhelmed and unable to function as she normally would.

She also described physical tightness and discomfort in her chest that was affecting her breathing.

Despite the circumstances, it was her own wish to continue with her planned working day rather than cancel her existing appointments.

Remote Support

One Boon Elite session was provided during the immediate aftermath of the event.

The focus was not on removing or treating grief, but on supporting the acute distress and disruption the client was experiencing at that time.

Immediate Outcome

In her subsequent testimonial, the client described the initial change:

“Within a couple of minutes, the tightness and discomfort in my chest eased, and I could breathe normally again.”

She said this immediate change created enough stability for her to regain her composure and continue working.

This case documents remote support following an acute soft tissue laceration requiring emergency medical intervention and wound closure.

Context

Priority Access Support began immediately following hospital treatment during the acute post-trauma period.

Sequential visual documentation across a period of less than two weeks records the progression of the wound and return of functional hand use.
